School law

Rights and duties

The cantons have sovereignty over the elementary school. The elementary school has the task of providing all pupils of mandatory school age with an adequate basic education that meets their needs. The pupils have a so-called special status relationship with the school with specific rights and duties.

These rights and obligations also have an impact on the parents of the pupils. With a trained teacher in our team, we not only have legal knowledge of the elementary school, but also know the needs of school practice.

We advise and support individuals and school authorities on all legal issues arising from everyday school life, such as school suspensions, special educational measures and allocation decisions.

In the area of secondary schools and universities, the focus is on legal issues in connection with examination appeals. We will gladly inform you about your rights and options in this regard.
