Nature conservation and cultural heritage law
Conflicts of interest in use
The pressure of use both inside and outside residential areas is constantly increasing. Thus, utilization interests are increasingly coming into conflict with protection interests. In the building area, the interest in the preservation of existing buildings (monument protection), but also interests in connection with the protection of biotopes and the demands of ecological compensation are increasingly relevant.
Outside the building zones, conflicts between agricultural use and landscape protection as well as biotope protection are on the agenda.
We know both sides. Successfully asserting utilization interests require also knowing opposing protection interests and taking them into account optimally.
